The full payment and a security deposit are generally required upon vehicle pickup. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed for your records. When returning the vehicle, please ensure it is in the same condition as when collected, accounting for standard wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged as necessary. The vehicle should also be returned with the same fuel level as when picked up; refueling fees will apply if the fuel level is lower. If you anticipate returning the vehicle late, please inform us as soon as possible, as additional charges may apply. Cancellation and amendment policies differ based on the type of booking and the notice period provided. For precise information, please consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement. Be aware that late cancellations or failure to show up may incur additional charges.
Prohibited Activities
Prohibited Vehicle Uses
- Use of the vehicle for illegal activities is prohibited. Engaging in racing, off-roading, or similar risky pursuits is not allowed. Transporting hazardous materials is strictly forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is against policy. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is unacceptable. The vehicle must be used for its intended purpose only. Adhering to passenger and weight limits is mandatory. Operating the vehicle beyond agreed geographical boundaries requires prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and extra fees.
8. Liability Restrictions
To the fullest extent allowed by English and Welsh law, Car Hire Chorley is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our total liability for claims will not exceed the total rental fees paid in the past 12 months. This does not affect our liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or for fraudulent activities.
